Summary/Abstract: The character and the content of the Romanian President’s attributions are a very actual theme for the constitutional doctrine and both for the political life. Has the President the main role in the foreign policy or the Prime Minister? The Constitution is rather vague. According with Constitution, the Government ensures the implementation of the foreign policy but the President has certain powers in matters of foreign policy. The author clarifies the constitutional role of the President as a representative of the Romanian State within international relations.
