Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author intends to analize the relationships between majority and opposition in the Romanian parliamentary system in the last two decades, from a double perspective: theoretical and institutional one. From this last point of view, the author argues that in the entire period 1992-2012, both majority and opposition used the constitutional ways of the political fight, much more in own political benefit – inclusively in order to cavil at opponent –, and less than in the interes of the represented people. Finally, the author presents some de lege ferenda proposals in order to strengthen opposition political role in the Parliament. All these proposals form a new statute of opposition.
