Poverty and migration

Summary/Abstract: Migration is no novelty of our contemporary age. They have always existed because individuals and social groups, for different reasons, forced or voluntarily, crossed from one geographical area to another. Occurrence of migration may be affected by various economic, political, cultural, military, and other factors, and a significant one relates to poverty. It is exactly poverty, especially determined by modern neo-liberal globalization, that represents an important factor in contemporary migration, including those from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
