Activity of the State Musical Concert Organizations of Ukraine in the Second Half of 20th – Beginning 21st Century

Summary/Abstract: The article for the first time highlights the activity of public music concert organizations that operated in Ukraine in the second half of 20th – beginning of 21st century. The author most thoroughly disclosed work of Ukrainian touring and concert organization "Ukrconcert." The main function of this structure was to arrange tours of Ukrainian theaters, vaudeville and philharmonic bands, individual artists, organizing massive music festivals, concerts, art festivals both in Ukraine and abroad. This institution was established to popularize and promote the best works of native art and classic heritage among the masses. Repertoire policy of the concert brigades was controlled by special artistic councils whose members were responsible for the selection of substantiated works, and the quality of their performance. "Ukrconcert" was completely dependent on "Soyuzconcert." The later served as the sole focal centre of the concert on the device in the USSR. It was his leadership took the decision to Ukraine tours of various foreign artists, teams, or lack thereof. According to the "Soyuzconcert" received all the funds collected from artistic activities. The issue of financing of the concert institutions rather acutely since 1990th government grants are not able to function normally given to subjects of culture and art. Got a question about the transition of organizations to complete samookupannya. It is served as a main reason for the termination of the "Ukrconcert." At the same time begin to form a completely new competitive touring and concert organizations which were led by experienced leaders in the field of arts. One of the first was the "Ukrainian State Centre of Festivals and Concerts" created by leading specialists of the former "Ukrconcert", directed by Boris Sharvarko. For a long time he had a monopoly in the festive productions government, anniversary concert, held at the same circuit that suit senior management. Most of them took place in the Palace "Ukraine", although in the future this place and became the main base for the job, despite all efforts to the head. Center had a huge uncontrolled means. Owing to the commercial activities the organization had quite a stable financial position. Quite a wide range of activities covered and the other self-supporting organization – "Ukrainian State Theater Of Song" under the soloist ’Ukrconcert "singer N.Mozgovyi. Many creative actions have significant cultural impact. "Ukrainian State Centre of Cultural Initiatives" was formed under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. The main purpose of his work proclaimed the revival of cultural heritage, promotion of contemporary art and achievements of Ukraine’s integration into the global cultural process. In line with the strategic objectives of the Centre, whose purpose from the beginning was primarily to support academic art is the first year of its existence it has initiated and implemented a number of events dedicated to art I. Kotlyarevskiy, H. Skovoroda, V. Dovzhenko B. Lyatoshinsky. Public funding their little backed up funds patrons and sponsors, which also was bringing objective of the Centre. Since 2002 "Ukrainian State Centre of Cultural Initiatives" was under the honored artist of Ukraine V. Kutsevalov. Thus, since the second half of the twentieth century, Ukrainian state touring and concert association "Ukrconcert" was the only organization that for a long time fully coordinated work in live performances. After the disbandment of "Ukrconcert" began to emerge new institutions, the operation of which was subject to the new market economy, where the state has been one of the sponsors. Also formed a number of companies involved in arranging various artistic events.
