Summary/Abstract: Lately there is an increased focus on the natural therapies, considering the classic treatments have many side effects and do not work all the time. Thus, in this review we will describe some aspects regarding a very common plant (Triticum aestivum Linn, family Poaceae (Gramineae) or Wheat) from which specific juice from young Wheatgrass is extracted. This is known be rich in vitamins and antioxidants, as we will insist in the present report. Moreover, the Wheatgrass juice has a very easy method for extraction and can be administrated like juice or powder from it. Also, this review shows what oxidative stress is and how it can influence Alzheimer disease, considering that we want to know if the antioxidants like Thiamine, Selenium, Vitamin C and Vitamin E from Wheatgrass juice could be helpful, considering that studies to date have reported antioxidant action for wheatgrass juice, but still there is no current study regarding the relevance of this extract in Alzheimer's pathology.
