Summary/Abstract: Corporate social responsibility imposed itself in specialized literature but also in social practice as a way of preserving positive aspects of the present and identifying opportunities for building a safer future for future generations. Urban space, with its numerous problems – socio-economic, demographic, institutional, ecological, cultural, etc. – is increasingly targeted by CSR campaigns in developed countries. In our country, although CSR is in its infancy, it has already targeted urban communities. Based on a sociological survey performed on a sample of 698 social subjects in Cluj-Napoca, we have identified certain problems characterizing community life in that city, problems that may be targeted by corporate social responsibility.
