Summary/Abstract: The author examines the record of Poland’s non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council after the General Assembly voted on 2 June 2017 in favour of a seat for Poland (for the sixth time ever) on the Council in 2018–2019. The key challenges currently facing the Council are outlined, and comments are offered on the role of non-permanent members in developing the U.N. Security Council.
