Summary/Abstract: In the article the problem of variety of cultural values is examined and the terms of becoming of cultural identity of students of the higher educational establishments of Ukraine are determined. The special attention is spared to the formation of their a policultural competence. The author of the article underlines that the change of paradigms of modern higher education is related to the concept "values of difference", which generates new requirements to the preparation of modern specialists. In this connection in the article meaningful qualities of students are determined personally in the aspect of becoming of their cultural identity.
