Summary/Abstract: Investigation of problem of preservation and transmission of cultural values requires disclosure of important categories of values, explanation the nature of material and spiritual values, their historical continuity. The article provides a retrospective analysis of the creative works of Ukrainian and Russian intellectuals and their contribution to the preservation of cultural values.
