Summary/Abstract: Purpose – Presenting a problem of finance management of national payment institutions, their financial standing and role in the Polish economy. Design/methodology/approach – Analysis of financial results and market data based on initial data, analysis of legal regulations and interview. Findings – Presenting the specific conditions and challenges of finance management in payment institutions, structurizing the knowledge about the subject of functioning of payment institutions Originality/value – Analysis of subject of finance management for a narrow and relatively new group of payment institutions, which perform a significant role in e-commerce market development
