Summary/Abstract: The demand for non-permanent/temporary employees is visibly increasing, but in the same time the employers are apparently more and more interested in a variety of forms of employment. The research problem raised in the article has been defined as follows: what is the flexibility potential of employees and whether some characteristics and situations can be defined which may persuade the employees to change the form of employment? The aim of the article is therefore to indicate the possibilities to make employment flexible, which are available for employees. The research has been conducted based on the questionnaires filled by the non-representative sample group of 160 people, the results are positioned in the current legal environment in Poland. The obtained data make it hard to build an unambiguous profile of a flexible employee considering the form of employment, which would be expected by the employers. Nevertheless the situations which are related to demographical characteristics and working conditions have been presented, those can be favorable to increased employees’ flexibility.
