Financial and Non-financial Instruments for Innovative Entrepreneurs

Summary/Abstract: The practical usage of innovation support instruments (financial and non-financial) is presented in the article on the basis of the example of the Polish Entrepreneurs’ Foundation (PEF). Moreover, the thesis of external support influence on increasing effectiveness and shortening path to innovation is proved. Described experience of PEF (Seed Capital Fund “Pomeranus SEED”, Business Angels Network AMBER, Subregional Loan Fund “Wielkopolska” within JEREMIE project “Innovative Loans”) confirms that business is interested in innovation as well as entrepreneurs need more incentives and money for innovation. The summary of the article indicates the most important directions of changes in the process of enhancing the level of innovation of the Polish economy while using the financial and non-financial instruments that have been adapted to innovative projects and entrepreneurs and their expectations.
