Innovations in Adult Education in Lithuania: Contexts and Practice

Summary/Abstract: This article aims at highlighting adult education innovations, which are being implemented in the specific context: Lithuania being in the process of special and cultural change and the progressive part of the world society developing the idea of lifelong learning. The article provides a sequential analysis of major concepts defining the topic, their contemporary contexts and presents samples of research carried out in andragogical practical activity. The article is concluded with presenting an overview of the types of adult learning innovations and highlighting the importance of andragogical and practical research to adult education.
