Condition of civil society in Poland.

Summary/Abstract: The author diagnoses the present condition of civil society in Poland. In the first section, the issue of political activity is addressed, particularly voter turnout and political parties’ membership. Next, various forms of engagement in public sphere are covered, with special attention placed on volunteering, NGO’s and informal activities as well. In the final section the author introduces and analyses prospects and challenges to the development of the civil society in Poland.
