Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes the role of foreign direct investments as a dynamic factor of growth of world economy. This issue is particularly important in terms of the global economic crisis, where foreign direct investments are recognized as one of the key generators of economic recovery of many countries. This is so especially because the investment packages in addition to capital include intangible resources such as knowledge, technology, organizational marketing, management solutions, etc. All categories of countries (developed countries, developing countries) show interest to attract foreign direct investments because of the given characteristic of contemporary investment package. Hence, in this paper we analyze global trends FDI inflows and outflows.
