Summary/Abstract: Professional training is the most rapidly changing part of educational system and this change is predetermined by the business world and labor market. The interface of these factors – is the social partnership that is understood by organized educational institutions interested in professional education, employers and professional unions as expedient and useful cooperation in institutional, inter-institutional, regional, national and global levels seeking common goals and new quality of activities (Lauzackas, 2005). Effective social partnership in professional education would guarantee for broad based goals, innovation, quality and professionalism of specialists. Objective of article is to theoretically base the necessity of social partnership in professional education. Main goals are: 1) to describe social partnership role in professional education; 2) to distinguish scientific conceptions of social partnership. Methods – analysis of scientific literature, documents, descriptive and comparative analysis.
