Summary/Abstract: The first condition of the discussion about the migrations of the population is singling out of such a complex of archaeological characteristics, that in the highest degree should be treated as one expressing the specific cultural traditions. In this connection the recording of spreading of this complex of archaeological characteristics (complex of cultural traditions) in the certain direction is needed. A certain tendency of spreading of the complex of cultural traditions must be confirmed by the different age of monuments and traces of the cultural influence (some specific elements of the migration complex can be recorded in the complexes of different cultures, that are on their way of migration). More clearly the question of the migration of the population can be illustrated while considering the process of formation of Homo sapiens (at the expense of hybridization and «growing young again» of the classical Neanderthal men) and formation of the upper Palaeolithic industries (Aurigniacian technocomplex). As a rather vivid example of the cultural migration in the Upper Palaeolithic of Europe can be considered the «Gravettian episode» and connected with it a great moving of the population in the period of 23-21 thousand of years ago from the Central Europe to the Eastern Europe (Willendorf-Kostinkovsky group of monuments). Besides, very illustrative are migrations in the Upper Palaeolithic of Siberia what presupposes the return to the old problem of origin of the Malta culture, that has an «extremely Western» appearance of the stone inventory.
