Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to the estimation of the relationship between the types of resources’ allocation and means-ends structures of savings and investments in the households. Confirmatory factor analysis of resource allocation scale was used for development of the altruistic-cooperative and non-cooperative/competitive bi-polar dimension of allocation scale. The means – end chains approach (Association Pattern Technique) has been used to assess the relationship between means and ends of saving and investing of the households’ members. Multinomial logit models with latent variables and dummy covariates were used for testing the relationship between means-ends, allocation strategies and socio-demographic characteristic of the family members.
