Summary/Abstract: Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography, a representative institution of theRomanian museology, has already built a solid reputation in the field ofprograms and adaptations addressed to people with disabilities. The mostsignificant achievement in this field was the opening in 2009 of the firstpermanent tactile exhibition, which become a landmark for the Romanianmuseology. Participation of the museum, in partnership with the department ofSpecial Psychopedagogy of the Babes Bolyai University, at the project Bridgingthe Gap between Museums and Visually Impaired Persons (BaGMIVI), foundedunder the Erasmus+ Program, has led to a significant increase in skills in thisfiels, as well as to a significant improvement of the interna land internationalwith institutions and specialists in the area of the project. Moreover, this projectwas carried aut in parallel with the master planning activity for the museum’soutdoor section, the National Ethnographic Park Romulus Vuia, a museumsector in which are carried out new accesibility projects, in order to offer a betterresponse to the needs of people with visual impairments.
