Summary/Abstract: The huge impact on the functioning of the tourism market is the development and use of modern information technology. Global Distribution Systems (GDS) are now the basis of entities involved in the organization and sales of travel services. Widespread of their use has caused a revolution in the tourism industry. The paper aims to compare the functionality of modern information technology used in the management of business entities that specialize in the global distribution of travel services. Eight systems were selected for analysis of competing systems. The research has used the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method featuring a multicriteria approach based on the compensation strategy of preference modelling, assuming the comparability of variants, taking into account the specificity of psychological hierarchical and relation-based estimation processes.
