Economic Freedom and Human Development

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of economic freedom on human development. For the analysis of the relationship between economic freedom and human development by the System-GMM method, data from OECD countries for the period 1990-2014 have been used. According to the results of the analysis, the level of economic freedom affects the level of human development positively and statistically significantly. In this study also examined the impact of five sub-variables of economic freedom on human development. According to this, all sub-variables of the economic freedom affects human development positively and statistically significantly.
