Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to determine the diversification of the level of income achieved by farmers in the EU countries’ farms with different types of farming. The basic source material was the FADN base. The study was conducted for 2013. Some results were compared with data from 2004. In the analysis data from the FADN macroregions for eight selected types of farming were used. The examined variable was farm net income per family work unit. A variance analysis (Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA test) was used and post-hoc analysis of p values for multiple comparisons was performed. The basic measures of descriptive statistics and measures of inequality including the Gini coefficient were also calculated. It was found that the type of farming influences the farm net income per family work unit diversification, especially in farms specialized in animal production. The phenomenon of deepening income inequality between farms in the given types of farming has been observed.
