Summary/Abstract: László Bernáth’s paper was presented during the conference of methodology organized by the journalism department of the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. The media specialist from Hungary construes the methodological issues of journalism teaching. Because language is the most important means of expression used by the journalist, both in writing and orally, Bernáth considers that the main assignment of journalism-teaching institutions should be to familiarize students with „press-language”. During this, students have to come to know the possibilities and limits of mother-tongue culture and gain aptitudes to use a clean language.
