George Bacovia - years of symbolic crystallization

Summary/Abstract: Our study aims at restitution of the socio-cultural and intellectual environment at the end of the nineteenth century, a period for which the symbolist poet George Bacovia is a "special sign". By means of historic documents, it offers a contribution to the reconstruction of the Bacău poet's education from the point of view of his schooling, from primary school to university, and also from the perspective of the spirit of the age that we may find in his literary work as well
