Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the negative consequences of sexual taboo in the education process in Poland. The debate on this matter has been active since the introduction of sex education into the schools. The opponents of these classes argue that they lead to sexualisation of children, therefore, they should be withdrawn from schools. At the same time, there are universal rights that guarantee the public access to sexual education. Reliable and professional education is a form of health care for children and adolescents. The sexual education provided in Polish schools does not fulfill this criterion, and this state of affairs can be regarded as a manifestation of a sexual taboo present in the society, full of negative consequences.
