Summary/Abstract: The study deals in a rhetorical framework with the communication, function, psychology and Hungarian linguistic characteristics of the new technologies and media of the computerized world. Inter rhetoric consists of three parts: intertextual, intermedial and intercultural rhetorics. The central issue of the electronic or e-rhetoric is that it creates a brand new manifestation of language. SMS- rhetoric can be studied as a version of this manifestation. The synthesis uses the results of the Hungarian internet researches and internet philosophy in the last more than ten years. An important conclusion of it is that the new technologies can cause not only the emerging of a new world but a “jump” in the cultural evolution as well.
