Summary/Abstract: Archaeological excavations were conducted over two seasons preceding development work at the Balatonőszöd-Temetői dűlő site, at the future S-10 junction of the new M7 highway, from July 2001 to December 2002. Seventy-six thousand square meters were excavated out of approximately 100 thousand square meters, while the remaining territory was surveyed by the use of test trenches. Beside the remains from other cultures and periods, a settlement dating to the Boleráz-Baden Age was unearthed. The Northern and Western borders of the site were found within the excavation territory, while its southern border extended into the unearthed area. As a result, one of the largest settlements of the Baden culture in Hungary has been uncovered.
