Summary/Abstract: Péter Cseke’s study reveals the relation of Jenő Dsida with the review Pásztortűz. Jenő Dsida bequeathed on us, among other things, the tradition of cultured journalism and a high standard of edition. Even today, his writings bear no signs of journalist’s routine. Their language is just as subtly precise and expressive as the language of his poetry. Regardless of the topic, he tries to surpass the banality of provincialism. It was perhaps only Dezső Kosztolányi who loved – and practiced! –the genres of journalism as much as Dsida.
