Summary/Abstract: The review is a periphrasis of Katarzyna Czeczot’s book Ofelizm. Romantyczne zawłaszczenia, feministyczne interwencje (Ophelism. Romantic appropriations, feminist interventions, Warszawa 2016) highlighting the duality of this work, which sees in Ophelism (kinship with the heroine of Hamlet) both the source of certain motifs of social imagination as well as the images that violate the traditional division of both sexes.
