Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article was to compare Juliusz Słowacki’s spiritual work in the later stages of his life with the results achieved by those who walk the path indicated in Ignatius Loyola’s Spiritual Exercises. Although it is difficult to find a direct influence of the Spanish mystic on Słowacki’s spiritual development, it is possible to identify an inner community of experiences in both men. It suggests that a lot of rules and developments of the spiritual life are timeless and unchanging despite passing eras.
