Summary/Abstract: The subject of the essay are jubilee publications which appeared on the pages of “The Illustrated Weekly” (“Tygodnik Ilustrowany”) in 1911. Similarly to other anniversary publications, they mainly carried out an integrating function. The properly profiled notes on “round dates” also allowed the Warsaw journal editors to implement another objective. Namely, they created an attitude of involvement in social life and activities for the benefit of the community. By emphasizing the duration of journals and the cooperation of jubilarians with the journals in question, the Warsaw weekly was trying to strengthen the prestige of journals and the profession of journalism itself.
