Summary/Abstract: The article presents a few reflections on the expert opinion in the Polish criminal process. The article describes some general problems related to the expert’s opinion including the question of the specifics of the expert’s opinion in comparison to other evidence, what is the expert’s opinion, what facts it concerns, what errors can be found in expert opinions. All the considerations led to the conclusion that many problems issues of a basic nature and concerning expert opinions remain open and worth considering.
