Summary/Abstract: The Ius mercatorum has ceased to be a historical-juridical category which history was limited to the medieval era. Under the protection of the current era ofglobalization it has resurfaced in the modern stage which circumstances resemble those ofits origin, but its content has been seen modified by all contemporary changes and newcircumstances. Globalization has allowed it to emerge to cover the annals of MercantileLaw, customs, international customs and other areas which today are erected as regulatorsof commercial transactions that transcend national boundaries
