Summary/Abstract: In 1990s theoretic discourse was dominated by works of structuralist orientation (their authors mostly belonged to the generation of scientists who were forced to leave their jobs during the normalization). The literary-historical discourse in the first years after 1989 had a typical feature: interest of the authors previously held back – from the interpretations of specific works on one side and outline handbooks on the other side to complex history of Czech literature after 1945. Critical methodological self-reflexion gradually deepens – this self-reflexion is characteristic by weakening and revising of structuralist points of departure (howbeit theorists of fictional worlds and naratologists) draw from them) and by penetrating non-structuralist trends into the Czech context (e.g. feministic literary science). Methodological self-reflexion characterizes also literary historiography in the new millenium.
