Summary/Abstract: In an era of globalisation and internationalisation of the world economy practical education of college students, who will soon become new employees, is gaining significance. Analysing key problems and developing the ability to solve them are crucial aspects of practical teaching of future logisticians. The aims of this article are to analyse a new teaching paradigm, together with its learning and teaching strategies, and to bring attention to the usefulness of teaching methods oriented toward solving problems in the logistics department. These methods constitute a very important instrument in the process of teaching at the tertiary level, especially in practically-oriented courses such as the ones taught in the State University of Applied Sciences in Konin, Poland. Analysing and solving problems in case studies needs to be treated as a process involving problem formulation, creation of alternative solutions, and selection of core solutions and their implementation.
