Summary/Abstract: This paper offers new reading of romantic epic of Montenegrin literature published in 1847 under the title The mountain wreath. Past literary-critical readings, in most cases, tendentious overlooked the questions of ethic in this epic, except Muhsin Rizvić and Esad Bajtal, which this paper will try to examine from different point of view.
