Market and strategic transformations in container marine transport sector

Summary/Abstract: Globalization, liberalization and different forms of strategies and competition change and are verified by practice activities. It is the reason why the article tries to present changes and transformations which appeared in containerization process. The first part of the article shows premises of container operators’ appearance which comes from clean stevedoring and shipping activities. Moreover the article presents evaluation and revolution approach to containerization development. The paper mainly focuses on the revolution process in containerization, such as: the appearance of containerization, intermodalism and transshipment. All above mentioned forms create a current containerization and show how the structure of the market is subject to permanent and dynamic changes in the containerization area.
