Summary/Abstract: In the paper author focused on the field of excellence in negotiations. She presented some conceptions of the desirable profiles of traits and skills of negotiators and raises questions about the expectations for excellence of their partners. She conducted also the empirical study which shows that excellence in negotiation could be perceived as a threat to the intended result of agreement.
