Summary/Abstract: The article aims at bringing closer issues concerning the life of Turkish immigrants in contemporary Germany. The authoress recalls the history of this immigration, presents the changes taking place in the social life of the Turks in Federal Republic over the last fifty years and considers the possibility of successful integration. She concentrates first of all on the cultural differences between the Turkish minority and the indigenous majority of the German population resulting from religious heritage and ethnic identity. Her reflections are mainly based on the analysis of the reports written by Necla Kelek and Seyran Ateş, two German authoresses of Turkish origin, which studying the subject for several years and calling to debate on this important issues both for the Turks, but also for modern Europe.
