Philology of the wine – prolegomena

Summary/Abstract: The topic of the article is the wine, that is „read” from literary and linguistic perspectives. In the first part, authors show selected examples of presence of the wine in literary works and literary life, quoting excerpts, inter alia, from poetry of Charles Baudelaire and prose of Marek Bieńczyk. The second part concerns different ways of characterize of the wine. Linguistic analysis of labels and back-labels located at the bottles, where are descriptions of the wine, authors combine with presentation of professional idiolect of wine tasters.
