Career and Career Issues In General Terms

Summary/Abstract: That, career concept has been introduced to work and life of business in the sense these days, covers about half a century. Therefore, as a concept, “career” is stated that one of the new term entered in literature of social sciences. Because, Career is accepted as a term of related to both employee and business, it has become an important part of personnel management. However, with impact of process, expressed as the globalization, to work and business life; it is monitored from studies that career term’s sizes, scopes and problems are also changing day after day. In this study, we will review term of “career” used with terms such as career development, career planning and career management. Also, we will discuss new career approaches; we obtained from various researches, with current career issues at the international level and will submit the solutions to these problems.
