Summary/Abstract: The analysis of socio-political phenomena in statu nascendi is important, in essence, for the identity of social sciences, related to taking the society's pulse and offering reasonable explanations of the changing reality. Discourse analysis may offer a valuable contribution into the reconstruction of the circulation of argumentative resources, the ideal background of disputes and areas of misunderstanding. A researcher of discourse employed by movements involved in current political conflicts using this method may, however, encounter some traps which may lead to biased conclusions. The paper pertains in particular to two phenomena affecting the analysis, dubbed aesthetic repulsion and moralisation in immoral times.
