Analysis of Selected Impacts of Internationalisation at the University of Mostar

Summary/Abstract: Globalization is a process which affects every aspect of society including the higher education as well. Therefore, international cooperation serves as an important aspect of the functioning, positioning and development of every institution of higher education. The University of Mostar is a higher educational institution, which preserves the Croatian heritage and language in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the other hand, one of the University’s basic goals is the transparency toward those who are different, which is accomplished through different forms of international cooperation among many other things. Therefore, the development of the University of Mostar is one of the crucial prerequisites for the survival of the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also for the development of the whole society from which all of its citizens benefit. The main subject of the paper is the analysis of the selected impacts of internationalization of the University of Mostar. The secondary data used for this paper were taken from the analysis of the official records of the University. The results show a progress in the University’s international cooperation and they confirm that this is one of the best directions for a successful future development of the University.
