Summary/Abstract: Hungarian historiography was renewed in the late baroque age, when Transylvanian historiographer Péter Bod (1712-1769) wrote his oeuvre. Péter Bod was a reformed priest. His historiography associates the protection of Protestantism with the protection of Hungarian language.
