Summary/Abstract: The article presents the role of modern Polish prose in the process of teaching colloquial phraseology used in nonofficial, spontaneous language contacts to Ukrainian-speaking students. The types of exercises based on four authentic modern Polish novels by Joanna Fabicka are included.
