Summary/Abstract: Entrepreneurial competencies are very important factor in the success of organizations and individuals in the present-day economy. They are developed by a number of internal factors, mainly related to human psychological profile as well as external factors including the multifaceted impact of the environment. One of the sources of their development may be academic environment, which face a certain expectations and challenges in this regard. Taking this into account, the main purpose of this article is to define the basic tasks and to identify and assess the scope and conditions to the development of entrepreneurial competencies of students in the course of higher education. To achieve this aim, empirical research was conducted in the form of a survey on a sample of 1108 students within the research project Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students‘ Survey (GUESSS), which aim was to diagnose the attitudes and behaviors of entrepreneurial students.
