Summary/Abstract: Mikhas Zaryetzky’s 1920–1930 works display his multiaspect vision of problems of man. Romantic art gave M. Zaryetzky an opportunity to model the integrity of the post-revolutionary times in the process of its development bringing to light the continuous movement of life, spiritual constants of man who is able to apprehend the world in its cosmic integrity and dialectical contradictions. The image of man of new times with the depth of his subjective experience, the influence of his internal life on historical processes were in the centre of the writer’s works and gave way to works devoted to collectivization, country, existential “I” of man in new economic conditions.
