Summary/Abstract: In the article there has been examined the transformation of musical genre, generalized transformational processes, and precisely described the types of Liturgy genre transformation in the oeuvre of contemporary secular Ukrainian composers. The author defines the notion "transformation of musical genre", conditions and defines its types within the framework of this investigation.
