Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the author enlightens the fact that oral literature, as well as written literature, has as its main subject the poetic language, the poetical speech, therefore it is the art of speech and therefore its works should be studied as such, as an art of speech, as is the case with the works of literary writings. Since the main component of any oral literary work is the text, from which numerous poetic messages emerge, and from which the existence is determined, the transfer from one individual to the other, the communication is promoted and consequently the aesthetic influence on the recipient is passed, therefore its study as an art of speech is necessary. In order to concretize the theoretical definitions and to testify the numerous expressive poetic values of the texts of oral literature, the author brings a series of examples from Albanian lyricism, epic and oral folktales.
