Summary/Abstract: Folklore is a traditional art, literature, knowledge and practice that is mainly distributed through oral communication and behavior. Today, the word "folklore" appoints a great and deeply important dimension of culture, as such it manifests itself in various forms of communication, not always just oral, but also through writing. Folklore also arises in response to city life, often in old forms, but with a new content. This type of folklore is urban folklore which includes creative traditions and expressions that reflect the general conditions of urban life or the history and traditions of a particular city. Graffiti which represents one of the expressive forms of urban communication is a street art that is related to particular groups of people. Therefore, through this work we will try to treat the graffiti by considering it as a new form of expression of folklore and by highlighting the characteristics that relate it to folklore.
